Client operations automation
BUSINESS PROBLEM
A repeat client was handling sales operations, data analysis, and prospecting by hand across spreadsheets and disconnected tools.
WHAT I BUILT
Two separate engagements for the same client: a field sales tool and a data analysis workflow. Each was scoped to one specific bottleneck rather than a platform rebuild, and each was maintained after delivery.
RESULT
Two engagements with the same client, including a tool in daily use for several months and follow-on work currently being scoped.
MY ROLE
- Problem definition
- Workflow design
- Application development
- Client communication
- Maintenance
HOW IT WORKS
- 01Each engagement started with the process as the client already ran it: what was entered by hand, where the handoffs were, and which steps were repeated every week.
- 02From there I built the smallest thing that removed the repeated step: a data workflow in one case, a working application in another.
- 03The client uses the output directly. I stay available for changes as their process shifts.
TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION
Details are genericized at the client's discretion. The builds use a standard web application stack: React front end, Postgres-backed data layer, and spreadsheet or API integrations for data already living in the client's tools.
LIMITATIONS
- This entry is deliberately genericized. The client and industry are unnamed, so the description here is less specific than the rest of the work on this site.
- These are focused tools, not full platforms. Anything outside the specific workflow each was scoped for still happens the way it did before.
