Accessibility Statement

The target

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard being worked toward. This statement describes honestly what has been done and what has not, rather than claiming a level of conformance that has not been independently verified.

What has been done

  • Colour contrast was verified by calculation rather than by eye. Body text, secondary text, and error text all meet or exceed the AA thresholds. Field borders and other interface boundaries were darkened to meet the non-text contrast requirement.
  • Keyboard focus is visible on every interactive element, using a high-contrast outline with an offset so it stays legible against the element's own edge. No focus indicator is suppressed without a visible replacement.
  • A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Form fields each have a properly associated label. Error messages are linked to the field they describe, and no information is conveyed by colour alone.
  • Motion is minimal, and the prefers-reduced-motion setting is respected.
  • Page structure uses one main heading per page, correct heading order, and standard landmark regions.
  • Links that would otherwise read identically out of context carry labels naming their destination.
  • There are no images on this site that convey information, so there is no alternative text to be missing.

What has not been done

  • No independent accessibility audit has been carried out.
  • No testing with screen reader users. The markup follows established practice and has been checked programmatically, but that is not the same as watching someone use it.
  • No formal testing at extreme zoom levels or on assistive hardware beyond standard browser checks.
  • Conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the goal, and is not claimed as verified.
